We are very sad, to announce that the Handstand Camp 2022 is canceled

Home2022-01-03T20:50:28+00:00

Welcome to the second edition of our handstand convention in Switzerland. It is a five-day-long training camp near Zweisimmen in the German part of Switzerland. The place is embedded in a beautiful landscape with rolling hills and a wonderful panorama.

We want to make it possible that people who are enthusiastic about handstands can come together and devote themselves intensively to the handstand practice for a week. In addition to the intensive training blocks, there is also time to discover the beautiful nature, eat delicious food and relax in the sauna or the cinema.

Two professional teachers guide the trainings and enable a deeper understanding of the body and handstand practice. In addition to these sessions in the morning and afternoon, there will also be time for free training indoors or outdoors. Additionally we have a third Teacher who will give you individual feedback about your core strength and mobility can answer your questions about physical mobility

Program

On Monday morning everyone will arrive and we will make a gathering to explain the organization of the week. In the afternoon we jump into handstand with a first training block.

From Tuesday on there will always be a Yoga block in the morning and a Handstand block in the afternoon. Two professional teachers will teach the blocks alternately and with different focuses on handstand.

On Wednesday afternoon, depending on the weather, we plan to do free group training or an outdoor activity together. We will discuss options during the week.

Tuesday and Thursday afternoon we will have a special guest who will give you personal feedback about flexibility and strength and answer your questions about body physics.

On Friday morning will be our last training block. The convention will be over at lunch time.

In the hours between the training blocks  there will be time for individual training, and program (small hikes, hang out and relax in and around the house, sauna, cinema, games etc.)

The training plan and teachers can change (due to COVID) and will develop until the convention takes place

Frequently asked questions
1. What handstand level is asked to participate?2021-03-07T20:39:05+00:00

Your level is not the deciding factor. Your enjoyment of handstand and your motivation and stamina are the deciding factors. If you can stand freely in handstand you are more independent but this is not a must. If you can’t stand freely yet, we will pair up or assist you. The exercises can be adapted for each level.

As a guideline, you should be comfortable in handstand, you can at least twist off for landing.

2. Health & risk of accident2021-03-07T20:39:13+00:00

We make sure that all exercises are done under professional instruction. We will also help you if you need assistance for certain exercises. We can not take responsibility for any physical problems or accidents/injuries due to the training. Please make sure if you have any pre-existing conditions or health problems to what extent training is suitable for you.
